SEASON PASSES HALF PRICE AS OF AUGUST 1st! The City of Stratford owns and operates the Stratford Lions Pool from June until end of August each season. Our highly qualified Instructor/Guard staff provide a full range of swimming lessons and public swim programming, in a supervised and save environment.   Check out of Recreation Activity Guide below for more information about our aquatics program, or read on to find out about our lesson and swim admisson fees.

The City also books the pool for private rentals and school bookings.

Online Program Registration
The City of Stratford is excited to offer recConnect; an online program registration service where you and your family can browse, register, and pay for recreation activities offered through the City of Stratford Community Services Department. Since the service began in 2009, over half of our families are now using it regularly. Click here to check out recConnect!

Public Swimming
June 8, 2011 – With the recent bout of hot, humid weather, the City of Stratford has decided to open the Stratford Lions Pool two days earlier than previously scheduled.  Pre-season hours will begin tonight, June 8th, with lengths swimming from 5-6pm and public open swimming from 6-8pm.   Tonight’s swims will be free of charge.

Pre-season hours will run June 10-29, with lengths swimming on weekdays from 5-6pm, and public swimming daily from 6-8pm and weekends 2-4pm.  Regular season hours start June 30th.  A full public swim schedule can be viewed in our Recreation Activity Guide.

Swimming Lessons
The Stratford Lions Pool offers high quality swim lessons in four 2-week sessions throughout the summer. The first session begins July 4th. There are over 75 available times per session to enrol in swim lessons.  A full lesson schedule can be viewed in our Recreation Activity Guide.

How to Register
ONLINE: Over half of our families are now using recConnect to view recreation program information, and to register online. No extra fees are charged to use this service. Credit card only accepted.  Please note, family discounts and activities purchased with subsidy are not accepted online. Please come visit us in person.

WALK IN: Paper registrations will be accepted in person at the Stratford Rotary Complex, 353 McCarthy Road, Monday thru Friday from 8:30am – 4:30pm.  Pay by cash or cheque, with cheques payable to the “City of Stratford”. Post-dated cheques must be dated 3 weeks prior to registered program start date. A $30.00 fee for NSF cheques will apply. Where applicable, all program fees include taxes. Walk in registration and payment must be received by no later than 4:30pm on the Thursday preceding the week of enrolment. Phone registrations NOT accepted.

Program Cancellation
We recommend you register early, as delayed registration could result in activity cancellation.  If your activity is cancelled due to insufficient enrolment, you may transfer to another activity (subject to availability), or receive a full refund.

Refund/Credit Policy
Provided an activity withdrawal is requested 5 business days prior to the program start date, refunds will be issued less a $15 per activity, per participant administration fee.  Pro-rated refunds will be granted with a Doctors’ certificate, and no later than half way through the activity program. ALL REFUND REQUESTS MUST BE MADE in person at the Stratford Rotary Complex, 353 McCarthy Road, Monday through Friday from 8:30 am – 4:30 pm. In place of a refund, we will gladly credit your account, with the credit to be used by the family, in full, to the end of the next calendar year.

Course Confirmation
The Community Services Department will contact you ONLY if an activity/program is full, or if there is an issue with your registration.  If you are not contacted, please consider yourself enrolled.

Family Discount
A family discount is available for families with 3 or more children participating in full week programs.  You will receive $20.00 off the 3rd or more child participating in the same program, and in the same week/session of registration.
